Anyone remember that song ‘HeadSpace?’ Looking back on my radio show, the truly great songs always seemed to stand on their own and, without needing hype, had a life of their own. Alongside the enormous runs for songs like ‘Ratio’ or ‘Rock n Roll Aint Dead’ or ‘Practice Run’ on the rock show, there was also the song ‘Headspace’ from Ryder’s Creed; a band that burst on the scene during pre-Covid era. At GMS, we were proud to support them from the start, but then the band faded, as is so common with bands in the rising rock scene. Some years on, Ryder’s frontman – Ryan Antony Hulme – is back bigger and stronger – and with his fine new band ‘Burn to Dust.’ To celebrate this moment, Ryan and I had a full-hour catch-up interview to talk past, present and future.
