Audio feature interview 1,711 in an ongoing series. After a break, Tax The Heat return with a new album later this year. During April, I spoke with Alex from the band on the genesis of the new material. We also reflect in their two albums prior to the Covid era, a time when Caroline had a big run on my rock show, and Fed to the Lions was crowned our Album of the Year in 2016. To mark ten years of interviews with Tax The Heat, the new interview is coupled with a re-run of our band interview at Ramblin’ Man Fair interview in 2016 – and there’s also a GMS interview segment from Brighton, during Tax The Heat’s 2018 UK tour. Time is the true test of legacy with music, and Tax The Heat are as relevant and needed to the rock scene in 2026 as they were in 2016.
