Well known to many for designing the album covers for many of the great Rush albums, his Art Director talents have also included work for many other fine artists. His most recent project was with Ellis Mano Band and their new album ‘Morph,’ which we called as Album of the Month in February 2025. During this interview, Hugh reflects on his work with both Rush and Ellis Mano, reflection more generally on the creative process as an artist. We discuss the vital marriage between music and album artwork and whether something has been lost in the digital and streaming age. We also discuss the new world of AI.
