On 24 November 2016, I produced and aired a 2-hour tribute on rock’s greatest showman, Freddie Mercury, marking 25 years since his passing. Presented here are two interview clips from Vincent Kavanagh and John-Fred Young, who both spoke fondly of the creative influence and music legacy of Freddie Mercury. In all, the show featured tributes from 18 rock bands from the UK, USA and Canada. In response to huge listener reaction from across the UK, this tribute show will be re-aired on the rock show over the Christmas period, after which clips from all the 18 featured bands will be made available here for listen again.
