COPPERWORM: A CELEBRATION OF LANDMARK RISING BANDS

Feature interview #1633 in an ongoing series. Last Sunday I spoke with dear friend Pete from Copperworm. Both of us are taking a bit of time out this summer, but we had a catch up to talk about music and Pete’s plans for the return of Copperworm later this year. Pete also reflected on some of the landmark bands that mean a lot to him – Amongst Liars, DeadBlondeStars, Violet Blend, Howling Black Soul and Carbellion to name a few. We also reflected on how rising bands break the glass ceiling and looked back at his benchmark ‘Desolate Days’ project from the lockdown years. A brand GMS has been proud to support since the start and will continue to do so going forward. In keeping with the rugged truth that personifies Peter’s music, this interview is presented here as it was done, with no edits or tidying.

After the interview, do check out the band at https://copperworm.bandcamp.com
