APRIL GREATMUSIC STORIES SERIES #7

MIKE ROSS

During these difficult times with everyone isolating at home, I’m running a special series for the month of April – every day at midday a new Great Music Stories artist hour special going online, hopefully something helpful to help some of you get through the day. Maybe put a smile on your face, maybe an hour’s escapism. It’s a time to be useful and I hope music and band stories can help.

Today’s hour is with Mike Ross, a working musician who reflects on the challenges facing artists in these tough times and also how creativity can be a soothing tonic. A serious and authentic take on the non-gig era and how young bands can create and survive. We also review Mikes new release and what’s in Mike’s online store and how fans can support his art.

A few other tunes from RHR, Thirteen Stars and As Sirens Fall, Massive Wagons and a cameo from Matron.

I hope this story inspires you to dig deeper and check out the bands featured. This hour will be online to enjoy for the next few days so do share it with your friends. The most popular 2-3 features from the April daily run will stay up on the site for the months ahead.
