FEATURE INTERVIEW: SCARLET REBELS SIGN WITH EARACHE RECORDS

Scarlet Rebels join Massive Wagons, Those Damn Crows and The Dust Coda by signing with Earache Records, the label is championing the New Wave of Rock n Roll and the label that has been putting rising rock back in the official album charts with unmatched consistency.

As news of the Scarlet Rebels/Earache partnership surfaced, I did an interview with Wayne from the band to capture a special moment: A band that has worked so hard for so long, a band that stands out for song writing that goes beyond neat genre silos. This is a band that can rock as hard as the best of them, yet their music could sit perfectly with mainstream radio as just good music.

Scarlet Rebels were emphatically voted Great Music Stories Band of the Year in 2019/20, and they then did what no other band has done – they came 2nd the following year in December 2020. Three times voted Band of the Month, also an Album of the Month band and headliners for our Spirit of Wildfire weekend radio festival last year. Requested every week by listeners, the epitome of a modern rock band – and now with Earache behind them there is an unmistakable sense the best is yet to come.

To mark this special occasion, the end of a chapter and the start of a new era, we did an extended interview. 70 minutes in conversation with Wayne. Enjoy the story and follow the band on socials as we all prepare for an exciting new chapter.
