FEATURE INTERVIEW – DANNY VAUGHN HOUR SPECIAL

With so many of us stuck at home, some original audio content during the daytime to hopefully brighten your day.

A brand-new hour special in words and music that will be up online to enjoy for the next few days. A couple of weeks ago, I met Danny in London to discuss his new ‘Snake Oil & Harmony’ album project that Danny is collaborating on with Dan Reed. Danny talks about the genesis of the album and the stories behind some of the standout tracks.

There is a poignancy about this piece, it was done on the eve of the dreadful coronavirus hitting the UK and before artists across the scene had to adjust to tour cancellations. Despite the absence of gigs, the music speaks boldly for itself and the album ‘Hurricane Riders’ is well worth discovering if you want some new music to brighten your day at home.

During the interview Danny also talks about the music scene in general and how bands can strike the right balance between streaming and selling physicals.

A few tunes also sprinkled in, spanning Danny’s solo work, Tyketto and Snake Oil & Harmony.

I hope this story inspires you to dig deeper and check out the music. Do buy an album or two if you can – visit the shop here https://snakeoilandharmony.tmstor.es/
